The Leisure Area of Kun Iam Statue Waterfront takes up a total area of about 15,000 square metres and is equipped with children’s playground, walking trail, café, multi-functional court, fitness and leisure area, gateball court, roller skating rink and other leisure and recreational spaces.
Along the 400-metre-long tree-lined walking trail at the waterfront, visitors can enjoy the coastal scenery from the Macao Science Center to the Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre. The children’s playground covering a total area of about 2,700 square metres is divided into several areas for children of different ages and introduces novel inclusive play facilities that allow them to learn different skills while playing, which helps balance the development of their body and mind. The café area is equipped with new shaded seats, kiosk, parent-child toilets and nursing room. Its friendly design allows visitors of different ages to use the waterfront leisure area together. The fitness and leisure area accommodating the gateball court, roller skating rink and multi-functional court provides the public and young people with a variety of sporting options with its fitness and exercise facilities of varying intensities, encouraging the public to exercise more and strengthen their physical fitness.
